Testimonies

John Robert Powers
Charlotte, North Carolina

Dear JRP Staff:

“This letter comes with much gratitude to John Robert Powers. Just like all other parents, their sons and daughters, we too came to an open call we heard on the radio clueless as to what John Robert Powers was all about. After my 13 year old daughter, Savannah received a callback for an audition to admission into JRP, we nervously sat in an office with Stacey Cummings who interviewed myself, Savannah and her dad with lots of questions. She was then accepted into the school. We were very excited, because hundreds of kids come to the open calls with only a select few that are accepted into the program. That was 6 months ago, in June of this year. Since then I have watched Savannah emerge into a confident, self assured young girl with lots of self esteem. She has come a long way because of JRP. Not only has she learned everything from Audition Techniques, Improvisation, Scene Study, Acting in Television and Film, she has learned skills that will follow her through the rest of her life! I have to smile because Savannah recently spoke to a family who had questions about JRP not sure about admitting their daughter into the school. Savannah marched right into the office on her own, and spoke about her experience with JRP. Immediately afterwards, the little girl’s parents enrolled their daughter into the school here in Charlotte, NC. She would have never had the confidence to attempt this before starting JRP!

A lot of doors have opened for Savannah because of JRP and JRP only! So much so that we as a family have decided to move to California for Savannah to continue her acting and modeling career. As we begin to plan our move, I have to look back on our lives 6 months ago and I would have never thought that we would be selling our newly built home to embark on this amazing journey! John Robert Powers has paved the way for our determined little girl who knows what she wants and now the wheels are turning! Savannah’s advice to all of her peers is to work hard, never give up and always give 100 % of yourselves.

Thank you so much to Michael Palance, Stacey Cummings, Teachers and Staff at John Robert Powers for bringing out the best in my little girl”!

Sincerely,

Lisa
